ShadowClan

ShadowClan has a reputation among the Clans for being dark, mysterious, and vicious. Some cats even refer to ShadowClan as being cold hearted. 

Shadowstar was the founder of ShadowClan, and had originally come from the ancient Tribe Of the Rushing Water, along with Skystar, who was the founder of SkyClan. She originally lived on the moors where WindClan had lived, but left and lived in the marshy areas across the thunderpath instead, believing it to be beautiful and wonderful.

ShadowClan's reputation possibly comes from some of its more harsh leaders, some of which who were downright evil. These leaders would make ShadowClan do awful things in order to make it the strongest Clan in the forest. However, ever since Blackstar started his reign on ShadowClan, it seems to be more peaceful. Except, of course, when Darktail took over the Clan, which caused a lot of problems. Regardless, though, it seems to have recovered from what had happened to it in the past and has a bright future!

ShadowClan Prey

ShadowClan is known for generally hunting things such as frogs and lizards, as well as other creatures that are commonly found in marsh and pine areas. They sometimes have been known to hunt rats in the past, which once caused a major illness to spread throughout ShadowClan from the ones they caught in the carrionplace. 

Previous ShadowClan Leaders

• Shadowstar (formerly Tall Shadow)- Shadowstar was the founding leader of ShadowClan, and was known for being the cat to discover the marsh that was their home until they had to leave the forest and move to the lake.
• Hollystar- Hollystar was an ancient ShadowClan leader, and was the cat to create the part of the code that stated that all cats must be loyal to their own Clan first and foremost.
• Brindlestar- Brindlestar is an ancient ShadowClan leader who agreed that crossing the borders should be against the warrior code, and helped make that part of the code.
• Ripplestar- Ripplestar is a ShadowClan leader who tried to lead an attack on the Clans during a Gathering. He was struck with lightning and killed, then, and every Clan agreed that the Gathering was sacred and it was forbidden to fight there.
• Blizzardstar- Blizzardstar helped to create the part of the warrior code that stated kits must be at least six moons of age to begin their warrior training.
• Lilystar- Lilystar is responsible for the part of the code that states that prey must be respected, and is only killed to be eaten.
• Snowstar- Snowstar is an ancient ShadowClan leader who died of greencough. 
• Flowerstar(formerly Flowerstream)- Flowerstar is an ancient ShadowClan leader who was chosen by the cat who had been their medicine cat at the time, Redscar.
• Yellowstar- Yellowstar is an ancient ShadowClan leader.
• Sedgestar- Sedgestar is an ancient ShadowClan leader.
• Dawnstar- Dawnstar is an ancient ShadowClan leader, and is one of the Clan leaders responsible for driving SkyClan out of the forest.
• Houndstar- Houndstar the ShadowClan leader prior to Cedarstar.
• Cedarstar- Cedarstar is the ShadowClan leader prior to Raggedstar, and was the leader at the time Yellowfang was a young cat.
• Raggedstar (formerly Raggedpelt)- Raggedstar is the ShadowClan leader after Cedarstar and prior to Brokenstar. He his the father of Brokenstar. 
• Brokenstar(tail)- Brokenstar is the ShadowClan leader after Cedarstar and prior to Nightstar. He forced kits to fight in battles, and was a prisoner in ThunderClan for a while before his death.
• Nightstar(pelt)- Nightpelt is the leader prior to Blackstar. He wasn't a true leader, though, as he never received nine lives from StarClan. 
• Tigerstar (formerly Tigerclaw)- Tigerstar is the leader after Nightpelt. He was a former ThunderClan deputy who was exiled for attempting to murder his leader. He tries to take control of the forest but is killed by BloodClan's leader, Scourge.
• Blackstar (formerly Blackfoot)- Blackstar is the leader after Tigerstar. He is the leader of ShadowClan when the Clans are forced to leave the forest.
• Rowanstar(claw)- Rowanstar is leader after Blackstar. His Clan is taken over by Darktail, and after he gets it back he begs StarClan to revoke his nine lives (which they do), and he is killed saving ShadowClan kits.
• Tigerstar (formerly Tigerheart)- Tigerstar is ShadowClan's current leader.
