Appledusk Belongs In The Dark Forest

Just like with Rainflower, I believe Appledusk belongs in the Dark Forest. He was selfish, cruel, and harsh when he was forced with the decision to help Mapleshade or break her heart forever. Sure, he was just following the warrior code, but it is known by now that the code has some flaws and exceptions. Also, while some may argue he was doing the right thing by choosing his Clan, well., he was being disloyal to Mapleshade, as well as harming her emotionally. In fact, it is his entire fault she caused destruction to the Clans for moons to come. 

Some would say that it's her own fault for meeting with Appledusk. I mean, yeah, they both broke the warrior code, but Appledusk is every bit as responsible as Mapleshade. He should've suffered the same punishment as she had. It is also he who decided to have kits with her in the first place. Sure, he was remorseful about meeting with Mapleshade, but that makes his actions even worse and more horrible.

You see, he showed signs of disloyalty to every cat: Mapleshade, Reedshine, and every RiverClan cat. He neglected Mapleshade when she needed his help the most, and went as far as to blame her for the death of their kits, as well as everything else that had happened. Let's not forget he also cheated with her by being mates with Reedshine behind her back, and Reedshine barely even cared.

Appledusk, as well as his entire Clan, rejected Mapleshade and made her leave after suffering a traumatic experience that she would never recover from. He got away with it, and walked around as though he had done nothing wrong. Mapleshade had truly loved him, and had been in shock when she found out he cared more about his status in RiverClan than her- not to mention the mate he had cheated with. 

He barely even cared for Mapleshade, and never even asked for the names of the kits he had with her. Instead he had focused on his "loyalty" to RiverClan. I think he was the most disloyal cat of them all- not only did he break the code, he also didn't have the decency to commit to the cat he broke it with, and cheated on her, making him both disloyal to her and his own Clan at the same time.

Overall, I just think he was a liar and a disloyal tom. He didn't deserve to not be punished, and he should've either been punished by Darkstar or sent to the Dark Forest at the time.
